• A little jazz, a little post-production & and a bang-up concert

November was a busy, exciting month at Manifold and showcased our versatility as both a recording studio and an intimate venue for touring acts. We hosted and recorded a sold-out show for Emerson, Lake and Palmer’s drummer Carl Palmer. I did post-production work (editing, sound mixing, dialogue overdubs) on the latest film by Emmy-winning writer/director Gary Hawkins. “The Accidental Man” marks the acting debut of singer/songwriter Tift Merritt. We welcomed engineer/producer Dave Sperandio into the studio to track a collaborative effort by 16 singers from a cappella groups the Duke Pitchforks and the Virginia Sil’hooettes (University of Virginia). And we're wrapping it up with the debut recording of jazz pianist Julian Lambert. I'm thankful for so many of you who trust Manifold to provide a welcoming space and turn out consistently great products.
